Tightrope Trip
Stephanie Sasena
I am a wife and mother to two toddler boys and a former elementary school teacher with a masters in early childhood education. As a child I was always drawing but once I went away to college, reading became my interest and I traded art for learning so undergrad degree is in literature. I have just recently, at the beginning of this year, started painting and drawing again after a nearly 15 year hiatus.
It has felt like an awakening and proved to be therapeutic for me as I approach middle age and also as I observe the state of the world. There is validity in art as a therapy and I encourage every person to find a creative outlook that helps them feel more connected to themselves. We are happy when we are growing.
