Comfort Food by Mayu Garner
Mayu Garner is a 17 year old Junior of the Arts and Communications Magnet Academy in Beaverton, where she studies drawing, painting and animation.
After serious reflection, Mayu decided that what makes food into comfort food, for her, is the comfort of the environment she is eating in. She wanted to focus on using happy colors and having a lively scene of a puppy and a child eating a burger that is way too big. She attempted to paint what realistically happens to her when she tries to eat around her dog, because in a comfortable environment, he would be there.
