Amy Wike is a watercolor and illustration artist based in Portland, Oregon. Since 2017, she has worked with individual and corporate clients to create custom artwork and designs including portraits, branding, print and web assets, surface pattern design, and event visuals. Her colorful hand-painted style is inspired by small joys and finding delight in the everyday. Amy’s work has been exhibited across the U.S. and abroad. Amy also enjoys offering watercolor workshops to local audiences and participating in markets around town.
Home is not a static location, but a continuous and evolving concept; Amy considers her home to be a combination of the people and places that have shaped her, and those that will foster her growth in the future. She has many homes simultaneously; in this piece, she chose to highlight the home that she finds in time spent with her family. Inside each viewfinder are scenes and textures found during their travels together.
