Clint Harpster is a Portland-based artist whose work blends traditional techniques, with a digital edge. They graduated from University of Utah with a focus in Secondary Education - Draw, Paint, Print and a specialization in traditional Murals. Clint has called Portland home for over a decade now, finding inspiration in its diverse landscapes and culture. During the day, Clint channels his passion for art into teaching at McDaniel High School, where he has been a dedicated educator for nearly eight years in the PPS district. As an art teacher, Clint shares his expertise and enthusiasm with his students, nurturing their creativity and encouraging them to explore their own artistic voices and bring their art to the Portland community. Beyond the classroom, Clint's artwork reflects a fusion of contemporary trends and classic styles, with a neo-pop twist. Outside of his artistic endeavors, Clint finds joy in spending time with his family – his spouse and their spirited three-year-old – who serve as a constant source of inspiration in his creative journey.
His piece is a modern twist on the traditional still life, showcasing the beauty of everyday objects found in our surroundings. The piece captures the simplicity and charm of things we grow or find locally, things we even recycle or throw away. It's like bringing a piece of our homegrown world into the digital realm.
