Postcard Set: Full Bloom Postcard Collection — BH On The Ledge
After earning a degree in design and working as a graphic artist for several years, Janet focused on her family. She took up painting 14 years ago and has shown her work in community exhibits. When her husband retired, they happily moved to Portland, where she thoroughly enjoys the rain, the flowers, the mountains, and the trees. She paints landscapes, dogs, and abstract flowers. She wants her art to stir feelings of happiness, comfort and peace, and she draws on memories for inspiration.
For her piece, A Handful of Happy, the inspiration comes from Portland. To Janet, Portland is a magical land bursting with flowers, and she tries to capture that wonderful profusion in her work.
