Four days a week she is the breakfast chef at Blanchet House. In her off hours, April enjoys painting, puzzles, sewing and sleeping.
Her piece in the show, “Homegrown”, explores what it might look like if more people grew their own food in densely populated areas in cities. There are gardens on rooftops and potted plants anywhere they can fit.
