Weston recently moved to the Portland area from Texas in January of 2024. He started making art back in 2018, and has continued with the practice over the years. Weston had his first solo show in Ft. Worth Texas back in 2022. He really enjoys hard contours and fun colorful ideas. He makes images from concepts and feelings and is always asking questions like “What does that feeling look like? What symbols can I use to convey this idea? Can I make someone laugh or say oohhhh, or have an ah-ha moment?". Weston uses his art to help decode this existence, in whatever sort of window he’s perceiving it through, which tends to change with his moods, and how he feels about the world.

Weston’s piece is called "ABUNDANCE", and is based off of the idea of a traditional wedding toast, where the newlyweds interlock arms and drink. This piece symbolizes the abundance everywhere and in everything, and the importance of having people in one's life to help water and nourish each other, grow, and thrive. This piece highlights the impact supportive people have in each other's lives, and the potential growth that can be sustained by a few key players. If we all help water each other, help each other grow, then our homes and community would be filled with an abundant overgrowth of not only resources, but love and a bright happy existence for everyone.
